Moleskin Drawing_#1-2011
I like the influence of these paloteros I see all over my neighborhood. They walk over carrying these balloons, inflatable toys and cotton candy all for the children. You can’t miss these cats and most of the time you won’t even see the man carrying it until you stand right in front of him. This dudes hustle is inspiring cause its no different then me carrying around my work in a...

Last summer i dropped into my home town to take a break from the city and re-unite with my family. What an experience. All these people i know of, but don’t know a think about. We all got along tho. And i didn’t feel out of place. Made sure i went to eat good food, but missed the opportunity to go into Juarez. Next time i will be prepared with a passport and a camera. I did however...

This invitation to show my work came just at the right time. I had been painting all summer day to day, night to night and the manifestations became reality. Unfortunately long beach was distracted by a music festival and the place was a ghost town all night long. Did have some friends stop by and say hello. Was an intimate evening. A success.

from time to time i get the chance to work on a project with my hero. haha. And I’m glad and have no ego to say this. My man, Kofie puts in mad work and inspires many of us. This project he did for the Tiesto, Diplo, Busta Rhymes video was an ill experience. The work space we had and size of these panels were massive. Although I just served as an Extra hand i do it with lots of pride. This...

Collectors: My works ownership transition.
Top: This Private Collector has kept a constant eye on my work since i showed privately in a Southern California Showroom. Since then, They have acquired Three of my pieces through out 2011. Key interest are collage and the sense of a provider/worker in my work. Earth tones for life. And  I very much appreciate all of the support.

Bottom: Calafia Zulu Nation Member, Malcolm X Advicate, Graphic Designer. Private Collector #2 I never expected for all the support on my collage of King Tut. I almost didn’t even do that piece. That night i was celebration the birth of myself and all my fellow Scorpio hommies. And dragged my feet at going to this gig. I did, and I’m glad. The second piece this collector owns is from...

Unintentional Public Works
WORD. Cheech and Chong are always a favorite. Cholo flannels, fedora and a heavy veterano mustache.  On a walk about East Hollywood i came across this wall of different tags and wheat pasted posters that have gathered together with great minimal balance and color. Beautiful just the way it is. Wonder how long it will stay this way?

Inspired.
Musically i have not a big clue about DEVO. Everyone knows ” Whip It” and “We Are Not Men.” Come to find out the WANM is pretty much what defines the word DEVO. Great job. But this scan in particular is of a button i found in the back alley of my studio. Probably some hipster thru it out and has now found its way to my treasure.Great design of this hologram with its...

Approached by long time work associate on this project. Summer 2011 Commissioned Collage piece for 1Love.org This as interesting project as it is to be used for outerwear liner art. Which is something I’m familiar with. So I approached it with a traditional indigenous triangular pattern contrasted with my “Minimal Indigenous” approach. Where the pattern starts to go into a...
